Several organizations deal with the history of medicine, and there are many places to visit on the internet. However, there are just a few sites that are devoted to medical instruments. Click on the underlined link to take you to the site.

The Museum of Historical Medical Artifacts is a terrific new site that displays over a thousand photos of medical instruments representing a wide range of medical practice and craftmanship, with a wonderful collection of stethoscopes.

The Wellcome Museum Image Library is a particularly nice site because it has images of a wide array of medical antiques and especially an extensive collection of stethoscopes.
